6614 Tea Wax

Tea wax is extracted through an environmentally friendly, solvent-free process, from green and black tea leaves of the species Camelia Sinensis. It is a dark, olive-coloured, soft wax that mainly consists of different natural wax esters and wax acids.

Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis Leaf Wax

MP: 60-66

Acid Value: 20-35 mg KOH/g

Saponification value: 80-90 mg KOH/g

Tea wax is ideal for emulsions due to its moderate melting temperature, and therefore allows energy-saving production temperatures. It can be used in stick preparations for lip balms or lipsticks (adding a pleasant scent to the formulation), and as a natural colourant. The recommended use level is 1-3%.
