Everything you need to know!

Kahl Sunflower Seed Wax 6607L

6607L Sunflower Seed Wax. The double-refined, light-coloured hard wax, sourced as a by-product of sunflower oil production from sunflower seeds, boasts a high melting point. Renowned for its exceptional oil-binding capacity and wide compatibility with both polar and non-polar emollients, it effectively enhances heat resistance while reducing stickiness. In anhydrous systems like stick preparations, it facilitates the creation of very hard formulations, imparting long-lasting surface gloss and bolstering heat resistance significantly. In emulsions, it exhibits a high oil-binding capacity and delivers a dry yet velvety skin feel, albeit stabilization might pose challenges.

Kahl 2442 Carnauba Wax

2442 Carnauba Wax. The yellow, standard quality of carnauba wax, sourced from the young leaves of the Copernicia Prunifera palm in northeastern Brazil, is characterized by its very hard, high melting, and brittle nature, boasting high crystallinity and exceptional oil-binding capacity.

In application, carnauba wax serves as a viscosity enhancer in water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions and anhydrous formulas. When utilized in stick preparations, it enhances lubricity, creates glossy surfaces, offers high oil-binding capacity, and enhances temperature resistance. Moreover, it contributes to texture improvement and volume enhancement in mascara formulations, and it can function as a dispersing aid for pigments and dyes in colour cosmetics. Additionally, carnauba wax provides hold in hair styling products.
