2039L Candelilla Wax

2039L Candelilla wax

Candelilla wax, sourced from the wild-growing shrub of the Euphorbia Antisyphilitica family in Mexico, is a double-filtered, high-quality wax. It possesses strong adhesive properties, excellent oil binding capacity, and forms hard oleogels, albeit being more brittle than beeswax and less rigid than carnauba wax. Traditionally utilized for solidifying stick formulations and other hot poured products, candelilla wax stands out for its significant shrinkage/contraction capacity, facilitating easy demolding from metal molds.

The recommended use level is between 1-15% and has a melting point of 68-73°C. Best used in applications for Hair Styling, Lip Care, Colour Cosmetic, Solid Cosmetic and Industrial applications.

6279L Myrica Fruit Wax

6279L Myrica Fruit wax

Derived from the berry fruit peels of the Myrica Pubescens tree native to Latin America, this distinctive natural wax possesses a rare combination of high hardness and a low melting point. Its remarkable chemical structure, devoid of double bonds akin to hydrogenated oils, renders it exceptionally stable against oxidation. Renowned for its effectiveness as a natural hair conditioning agent, Myrica wax significantly reduces combing force, enhancing hair manageability. In hair styling formulations, it delivers superior hold and allows for flexible restyling without flaking. When incorporated into hair care products, it improves combability and minimizes tangling. Additionally, KahlWax 6279L Myrica enhances and stabilizes oil-in-water emulsions, imparting a non-waxy sensation and reducing stickiness. Its favorable impact extends to viscosity and product application in anhydrous formulations.

The recommended use level for Myrica Pubescens Fruit Cera, listed as INCI (EU), is between 1-10%. This versatile ingredient offers various performance benefits including acting as a hair conditioner, skin conditioner, re-fatting agent, oil binder/thickener, texture enhancer, and viscosity regulator. It finds application in a wide range of products such as hair care, hair styling, face care, bath & body, and candles. Categorized under specialty waxes, it boasts a melting point ranging from 45 to 55°C.Top of Form
